Nicole Cutrufo

Nicole Cutrufo is a PMP certified Project Manager, she holds a Master of Science in Hospitality Management from Rosen College at the University of Central Florida, Eta Sigma Delta, a B.S. in Economics and Management of Government and International Organizations and a Master in Green Management and Energy and Corporate Social Responsibility from Bocconi University.

She is a member of the Toronto and Central Italy Project Management Institute Chapters. In 2019 she started consulting companies between US and Europe leading international teams and projects as a Digital Project Manager. She is a co-author of research papers about online and offline Guest Experiences, the guest experience in response to Covid-19 (Exploring the future of guest experience in response to Covid-19) and Guest engagement analysis (COVID-19 and Guest Engagement Analysis in the Entertainment Industry: towards an Integrated Approach). She has been part of an international group of researchers supporting the European Parliament analyzing guest and tourist experience in EU after COVID-19 (Relaunching transport and tourism in the EU after COVID-19). She participated as a panelist at the EU2019-Tourism Forum in Helsinki and BIT in Milan. Topic: The Digital Transformation for the Guest Experience. Since 2018 she teaches Guest Experience Digital Transformation Management at Roma Tre University to Hospitality Master’s students. She led the Diversity and Inclusion initiatives in her region with her contribution to the Lean in Network co-creating Lean In Tourism, a circle dedicated to empowering women within the tourism and hospitality sector in Italy. From 2015 to 2018 She played a key role in GetYourGuide’s development in Italy - one of the largest online platforms for selling tours, activities, and experiences - as Regional Manager leading the efforts for multiple projects in Europe. 

She previously had leadership roles within the theme parks industry in Europe and USA. Nicole began her career at Disney in June 2010 as an International College Program Participant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom working in the Conservation Station. She then worked in different roles in Orlando, Paris and Rome. From 2009 to 2010, Nicole had a corporate role with responsibility for the EMEA market and business development for MWH (today part of Stantec). She was responsible for the day to day management of projects including negotiation and execution and recommendations to senior management as well as oversight and coordination of large teams across the company both at Corporate and business units. Prior to this, she was a Research fellow at Bocconi University in Milan.

Nicole Cutrufo was born in Rome, Italy, and raised in French schools she speaks Italian, English, French and Spanish.
